Our chiller units run on advanced features, including dual gas circuits that operate at reduced power depending on the chiller's size. A built-in timer schedules compressor operation automatically — powering down at night and restarting during the day to cut energy costs. Every chiller has a galvanized frame built for outdoor installation, low-noise axial fans for a quieter environment, and a centrifugal pump, storage tank, semi-hermetic or scroll compressors, and plate evaporators that keep the whole system running efficiently.

Control panels carry IP 55-rated insulation with microprocessor precision control, and can be optionally equipped with a remote control panel and remote management via the internet or smartphone.

Choosing the Right Chiller for Your Rink

Our team specializes in the design and engineering of both recreational and professional ice skating rinks. To guarantee top performance and efficiency, Industrial Frigo USA offers a range of solutions for permanent or temporary rinks, matched to the ambient temperature of your installation site.

In standard conditions — ambient temperature below 89–91°F — an air chiller is the recommended solution. For hot climates, with temperatures ranging from 93°F to 113°F, an air chiller can still work, but the setup requires careful analysis to avoid operational issues. The optimal solution in these conditions is a water chiller paired with an additional cooling system (air chiller or cooling tower) — this lets you install the refrigeration equipment indoors, near the rink.

Above 114°F, the chiller must be water-cooled with a system like an air chiller or cooling tower. In these extreme conditions, the chiller is installed in an equipment room while the cooling system sits outside.
